My name is Lalita King, I'm 51 years old, l'm a graduate of Danville High
school class of 1991. I've lived in Danville for the first 32 years of my life then
I moved to Rantoul, IL for 7 years. I returned to Danville in 2014, I began
working for "Help at Home" home healthcare agency. During those years my
mom became ill, and I became her caregiver. While caring for my mom I
knew I had a special gift in this area. Not only did I become my mom's
caregiver I took on other clients, all of whom I held near and dear to my
heart. It was then that I knew something bigger was awaiting me.
I felt compassion and the need to help and serve others. It didn't stop there; I
began to help care for my dad and took on childcare positions for mothers
who needed assistance with childcare. In the year of 2021 my son Adrian life
was taken at the tender age of 20, while searching for peace and closure,
God place on my heart to help and care for teen girls who are troubled.
During my time of solitude is when the name “AJust Your Vision and its
mission came into my heart. AJust is spelled without the letter “D” owning to
the fact that I wanted to incorporate my son Adrian’s nickname into the title
of agency. This is how I am honoring his life We called him AJ. Since then,
my greatest accomplishment was taking in foster girls in 2022 and it
became a revolving door. Since then, l've taken in 5 other foster teen girls.
Today l am a certified and licensed childcare provider and foster care mom
which brings me to my vision, "AJust Your Vision", a shelter for teen girls
who are without a home and or parents, teens who are disadvantaged.
